The most efficient way to reach the conference venue and to move around the city is to use the public transport network.
Our advice to you is to purchase a "T10 zone 1" transport card that permits 10 trips including transfers on the metro, bus, tram, train within the Metropolitan Area 1 at the costs of €9.95. Information on public transports (including maps) can be found here.

Cyclists may prefer to use public bike service of Barcelona. There is a bike station in Plaça Universitat.

Barcelona Airport

Barcelona International Airport (BCN) is located 10km south-west of Barcelona city centre. It offers convenient flight connections with most European cities, and there are also direct flights to other major cities. There are two terminals T1 and T2 (2A, 2B, and 2C), you can check your airline terminal here.

Transfer from/to the airport
The fastest way to reach the city centre from the airport (and vicecersa) is using Aerobus. There are two lines: A1 from/to Terminal 1, and A2 from/to Terminal 2. The bus arrives in Plaça Catalunya (with stops in Pl. Espanya and Pl. Universidad), it departs every 5 minutes, the ride lasts around 35 minutes, and it costs from €5.90.

Terminal 2 is connected with the city centre by train and bus. Bus 46 goes to Plaça Espanya in 45 minutes (after midnight take bus N16 that goes to Plaça Catalunya). There is a suburban train line that goes from Terminal 2 to Barcelona Sants and Barcelona Passeig de Gràcia stations. Depending on the station travel takes 20 minutes (Sants station) or 25 minutes (Passeig de Gràcia station). You can check the timetable here.
A single ticket costs €2.15, but it is reccomended to buy a T-10 ticket for 10 trips, including all bus, metro,and suburban train transfers inside the Metropolitan Area 1 at the costs of €9.95. Ticket vending machines are located in the train station of Terminal 2.

Bus N17 connects Terminal 1 to the city centre, it departs every 10-20 minutes from 9:55 pm to 4:45 am.

Terminal 1 is connected to Terminal 2 by a free bus shuttle (travel time around 10 minutes).

Connections by taxi are avaliable for about €25-30.
